Kayla is a clinical psychology intern at Stronger Together Community Services. She has a masters degree in clinical psychology and is currently completing her doctorate at Alliant International University. She holds a bachelor’s degree in child development with a minor in psychology from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo.
Kayla has experience working with both children and adults. She worked in a Reggio Emilia style children’s center for several years with children from the ages of 15 months to 3 years. She is trained in trauma informed models, such as EMDR and has experience working with survivors of domestic violence, human trafficking, and those with anxiety, depression, and trauma. Kayla leads many of the recreational healing groups at Stronger Together and is committed to providing holistic care to all she serves. In Kayla’s free time, she enjoys going to the beach, baking, and woodworking.
